No accounts. No forms. No email or phone number collected, ever.
What this site does not collect
There are no user accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter and no contact forms. We do not collect email addresses or phone numbers, and we do not sell contact data to anyone — this is a design decision, not a current state that might change quietly.
Where a page asks for a postal code to price a tariff, that postal code lives in the page URL so the calculation can be shared and reloaded. It is not stored on a server against you, and our server logs do not record it.
Two layers of analytics, and the difference
Cookieless page counting runs for everyone. It records that a page was viewed, from which country, and nothing that identifies you. It sets no cookie and asks no permission because it needs none. This is the count we use to decide what to build next.
Cookie-based analytics — Google Analytics — records how a page was used: which control was clicked, which step was reached. It sets cookies and loads only where consent has been given. Decline it and the site works exactly the same; we still know how many people arrived, we just do not know what you did.
In the EU, the UK and Switzerland no Google tag loads at all until consent is given — not even a cookieless ping. In the United States there is no banner, in line with the opt-out regime there; a preference link in the footer will carry the equivalent choice.
Where the analytics request goes
When Google Analytics does load, it loads from doesthemath.com, not from a Google domain. The request is proxied by our host under a reserved path. This is not extra tracking — it is the same data, collected with less of it lost to network filtering. It also means the request is first-party, so your browser treats it the way it treats any other request to this site.
Nothing on this site is served from a Google domain. There is no advertising, no remarketing and no audience list, so the three advertising consent signals stay switched off everywhere — including where the law would let us ask.
Current state
What is here: the cookieless counter, running for everyone. The consent layer described above, live. Google Analytics, configured and loading only where and when this page says it does.
What is missing: anything to measure. There are no product pages yet, so the numbers describe a handful of policy pages.
What that means for you: this policy can be checked against the page you are reading right now. View the source: if you find a Google domain in it before you have agreed to anything, this page is wrong and we want to know.
AI crawlers
We do not block AI crawlers. Pages here are public reference material and we would rather they be readable by whatever a person is using to read them. This means published content may be used by third-party AI systems under their own terms, which we do not control.
